Candidate Statement
The State has the power to effectively act on reforming Albany, which they have neglected for decades. The deliberate inertia of our legislators contributes greatly to the corrupt state Albany continues to be in.
The democratic process is no longer designed to serve the public; voters are not given choices. The electoral process has reconfigured to benefit the political machine’s agendas as they make their own rules on how the democratic process should work. Voter apathy and voter suppression are major by-products of this corrupted electoral process, and a major barrier to solving nearly all the challenges New York is facing.
By controlling the rules of competition, political machines control the outcomes. As a result, our legislators continue in their failure to deliver solutions that work because their primary goals are to preserve their incumbencies.
Let’s ‘Reinvent’ Albany together. Vote for JUAN PAGÁN.
