NYCCFB Announces Resignation Of Executive Director Beth Rotman

05/16/2023

New York City Campaign Finance Board Chair Rick Schaffer announced today that Beth Rotman has resigned as Executive Director for personal reasons.

“It breaks my heart to leave my dream job at the nationally acclaimed New York City Campaign Finance Board, where I served earlier in my career. However, the need to move to care for an ailing family member requires that I step away from this role. I am honored to have been given the opportunity to return to the CFB and lead its remarkable staff in the work of making New York City’s democracy more equitable, inclusive, and fair. I wish all my colleagues continued success in their important work,” said Rotman.

“The Board thanks Beth for her public service and wishes her well, now and in the future,” Chair Schaffer stated.

The Board plans to initiate a search for a new Executive Director immediately. In the interim, Amy Loprest, the CFB’s Executive Director from 2006 through 2022, will return as Interim Executive Director. Chair Schaffer will also participate in the day-to-day leadership of the agency.
